Well, we’ve been thinking about doing some things. Maybe a franchise in another town. Or one of the ideas we thought is what if we built our own theater here? – Peter Henderson

I came to Guelph from Toronto in like 1980. Went to school for a year or two, but I ended up quitting school for a variety of reasons. And I’d given up my apartment and I was about to head back to Toronto when I saw the Bookshelf. – Ken Hood

And in 1971, when Barb and I moved here, the downtown itself was extremely vibrant. Most of the businesses were probably 20 to 25 years old and many of them older than that. – Doug Minett

I met Ben before I met the Bookshelf officially. I lived in Guelph. I came to Guelph when I was a teenager. I was like 15. And I remember Ben was actually at high school with me, but he was years ahead. – Steph Minett
