Everybody Gathered at Wheaton’s Restaurant
The whole Wheaton’s Restaurant was good. This is where everybody gathered. – Lyle York
First Family in Parrsboro
I’m one of the first families in Parsborro, way back in 1800… My family, they divided the town, the land that my family owned, to become the first town. The town of Parrsboro now. – Kerwin Davison
Shop Closings
A lot of the shops have changed. They’ve closed down and there’s just no business when the businesses closed down. And it just seems to have declined that way. – Kareen McGregor
Circus Parade
Parsborro used to have big parades. I remember when I was a kid, there was a train coming in in from Springhill and that was hooked up with trains that would come from Halifax, Sydney, and Massachusetts. – William Wheaton
Capturing the Spirit of Place
We were very attracted to the ferry, because it captured for us, what we called ‘spirit of place’. – Mary Vingoe
