Christmas in New Maryland
“We are made up of about six subdivisions in our little community. And Santa, around the 1st of December, comes on a sleigh behind the fire truck, goes through every one of the subdivisions and every household is asked to give a toy or a donation of food.” – Karen LeBlanc
Quinze-Août des Fous
Well, tomorrow is Quinze-Août, August 15th, which is our national holiday for the Acadians. So Caraquet is really probably the place that celebrates the most that holiday. – Maurice Arsenault
Christmas in Saint John
“Christmas was wonderful there. It would almost be like, you know, if you scale Macy’s down to a little town under a hundred thousand people, then that was the place to go at Christmastime.” – Barbara Kliffer
