Changing Guards
This whole group of soldiers were marching towards us in their red uniforms that they still wear today. And, of course, with a young boy. I turned around after they’d passed us. And rather than going my direction, my son had fallen in behind them and was marching up with them. – Mary Grant
A Guy They Called Quacky
Looked like a story right out of deliverance because he used to wear the coveralls and the work boots. He would walk around with a shovel. – Sue Lawrence
Tony’s Music Box
We’ve been here 40 years now. We carry as much stock as any store. And sometimes even more, like our piano department is quite significant. Our drum department, our guitars. – Jason Sonier
Store Struggles
I think that we’ve lost the critical mass of different stores in the downtown to make it anything other than an entertainment spot. We don’t have any, you don’t have a stationary store downtown. We don’t have a appliance store or a furniture store. So we don’t have enough variety. – Martin Aitken
Joyriding
As a kid growing up, I remember bicycling up from our home in the downtown with my friends. As we grew up, we got our driver’s licenses and we had to cruise the streets. – David Wilson
